Dandelion Dinner to Benefit Door Community Compost Initiative

  • Donald and Carol Kress Pavilion 7845 Church Street Egg Harbor, WI, 54209 United States (map)

Celebrate the wild and wonderful world of dandelions at a one-of-a-kind dinner hosted by herbalist and nature chef David LaLuzerne. Taking place Thursday, May 15 from 6–8 PM in the Great Hall of the Kress Pavilion, this five-course meal is a creative, flavorful tribute to a plant often overlooked—but packed with nutrition, tradition, and culinary possibility.

Each course features dandelion in a starring role, from appetizers to dessert. Enjoy dishes like dandelion pesto with smoked fish, ramp and potato soup, savory dandelion quiche, stir-fried greens with cherry balsamic, and a sweet dandelion blossom cake—all thoughtfully paired with dandelion wine and roasted dandelion root tea. Between bites, guests will enjoy stories and lore that honor the dandelion’s legacy as both healer and harvest.

Proceeds benefit the Climate Change Coalition of Door County, and seating is limited to just 30 guests for this unique, intimate experience. Whether you’re a curious foodie, wild food enthusiast, or simply looking for a fun way to support local climate action, the Dandelion Dinner is sure to surprise and delight.
