Woods walk
Forest ecologist Lee Frelich will lead this hike at Door Bluff Headlands County Park on September 21 from 10 am - 12 noon. The woods walk will be approximately 2 miles long, including woods and escarpment shoreline.
We will explore the ecosystem that thrives on this shallow bedrock running along the Bay or Green Bay. And we’ll focus on the succession of native tree types and adaptation occurring and predicted with climate change.
The hike starts at the Door Bluff Headlands County Park parking lot, at 12900 Door Bluff Park Rd.
Carpooling is enthusiastically encouraged.

His research has been featured in the media hundreds of times, including in The New York Times, Newsweek, and National Geographic.
The hike is limited to 16 participants. Donations are encouraged, and all proceeds support the Climate Change Coalition’s climate education and action mission.
